Originally from Calgary Alberta Canada, Raissa played volleyball for the University of Calgary. While in Calgary, Raissa coached varsity boys high school and club teams, winning several city, provincial and club Championship titles. Raissa has been the head coach at Crespi HS for the last 7 years. She led the Celts to 2nd place finishes in the Mission league in 2003 and 2004. Last season Raissa and Marvin Hall coached the 17-Silver team to a 5th place finish at JO’s in the 17 Club division. EMAIL RAISSA

Richard is currently playing for Pierce College as a libero under fellow SMBC coaches Beau Daniels and Eddie Stanislawksi. Richard has coached for the Granada Hills girls program for three years, as well as assisted Sabine Stork with the SMBC boys 14's Red and Silver teams. Richard is also certified as a Gold Medal Squared coach.

New to SMBC, Cooper has nevertheless been coaching junior volleyball for five years. Next season, he will be Head Varsity Coach at Notre Dame HS and he continues to coach varsity girls at Oakwood HS.

Nigel Dookhoo

Nigel Dookhoo

Nigel moves to SMBC Boys from the Girls’ program, where he has been coaching 11 years. As Head Coach of Harvard-Westlake Boys Varsity since 2005, Nigel has continually guided his team deep into CIF playoffs. He has over 14 years coaching experience at the high school and club level, and played at SMC before transferring to UCLA.

Turnhan Douglas

Turhan Douglas

17-Silver Head Coach


Turhan has coached some of the best volleyball athletes in the nation. Most recently, Turhan was the men's head coach at USC from 2003 until 2005. He also coached at Pierce College where he was a Coach of the Year in 1998 & 1999. As a player, Turhan led Pierce College to the State Championship in 1988 and won a National Championship in 1991 with Long Beach State.
