Eddie has been coaching with SMBC for the past four years. In the 2004/2005 season, he directed his 16’s team to finish ranked 5th in the SCVA region. In the 2005/2006 season, Eddie took the SMBC 17’s team to a top 10 SCVA finish. Eddie graduated from St. Francis High School where he was All-CIF 1st team, and continued playing at Pierce College where he was 1st Team All-State. Eddie has coached at Santa Monica College prior to joining SMBC. He has recently taken over as Head Coach of the very successful Pierce College Men’s Volleyball team. Last season, Eddie and Jeff Stork coached the 17-Black team to a GOLD medal in 17 Open at the JO’s. EMAIL EDDIE

N Jeffʹs volleyball career began at Taft High School in Woodland Hills CA in 1976. He was a 3-time All-American at Pepperdine University (1981-1984), and the graduate assistant coach to the 1985 NCAA Championship team. Jeff became a USA National team member in 1985. He went on to be a 3-time Olympian, winning a gold medal in 1988 and bronze medals in 1992 and 1996 (all teams coached by SMBC Coach Gary Sato). He played as a professional in Italy (1989-95) and Greece (1996-7). In 1997, Jeff retired from competition and went on to develop his coaching skills, beginning as assistant coach for the Univ of New Mexico womenʹs team. He returned to Pepperdine in 1998, became interim head coach of the menʹs team in 1999, and stayed with the program until 2001. In 2001 he became the head coach for the womenʹs team at California State University, Northridge, and is currently in his 5th season. EMAIL JEFF

This is Aaron’s third season with SMBC. A 4-year varsity player at 4-time CCS Champion, Leland HS in San Jose, CA, Aaron was MVP as a senior in 1996. Continuing to play at Pierce College, he helped the 1999 team reach the California State finals. Aaron has coached the USC Men’s club volleyball team to an 8th place finish at the 2004 National Collegiate Club Volleyball Championships and assisted the USC Women’s Club team to a 2nd place finish in their conference. Last year Aaron coached the 18-Silver team to a GOLD medal in 18 Club division at the JO’s. EMAIL AARON

Scott Wong

Scott returns to the SMBC coaching staff this year; his previous SMBC 16’s team placed top 5 in the 2002 JO’s. Scott himself was Freshman of the Year and a 3-time All- American from Pepperdine. After graduation, he joined the US National Team for the 2001 World League and was Flag Bearer and a member of the gold-medal-winning US team at the World University Games in Beijing. Scott has played on the AVP since 2002, where he is consistently on one of the top 10 teams. He is currently the Assistant Men’s Coach at Pepperdine University and helped guide the 2005 team to the NCAA Championship. EMAIL SCOTT
