Meredith Rice

17-1 Assistant Coach

SMBC alumnus Meredith Rice (’05) returns for another year as assistant coach for the club she spent seven seasons with as a junior player. A celebrated star at Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks who earned All-League and All-CIF honors, Meredith earned additional accolades as a two-year starter and co-captain under Nabil Mardini for the state-ranked Pierce College Women’s Team. Recently Meredith was named Junior Varsity Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach for the Louisville High School Girl’s Volleyball Program under fellow SMBC coach Will Jacoby. Alicia Robinson

Alicia Robinson

17-1 Head Coach

Alicia Robinson is no stranger to success: as a four-year member of the USC Women’s Volleyball Team, she won back-to-back NCAA Division I National Championships as a four-year scholarship athlete following a high school career in Arizona littered with accolades and accomplishments, including “Fab 50” honors and selection to All-League and All-Region teams.

With her playing career ended, Alicia joined the coaching ranks with successful assistant stints at both the high school and collegiate levels under fellow SMBC coaches Nabil Mardini (at Pierce College) and Jesse Quiroz (at Harvard-Westlake). Both teams experienced deep playoff runs during her tenure. Having cut her teeth with SMBC under Nabil as the 18-1 assistant coach in 2005, not to mention garnered immense popularity with players and parents club-wide, Alicia took the reins of the excellent 17-1’s in 2006, guiding the team to a Top Eight finish at the Volleyball Festival in her first season. Her squad performed well again in 2007, culminating with her second straight Sweet Sixteen Festival finish. Alicia returns as the head coach of the exceptional 17-1’s in 2008.EMAIL ALICIA
